Do You Believe God?
"Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways, and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?" (Job 26:14)
There is an infinite gap between what you have seen God do and what He is able to do. Whatever ways God has worked in your life, He is able to do more. Infinitely more. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is "able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think." Our minds cannot dream up something that comes close to exhausting the power of God.
For those who are skeptical of God's ability because you are walking through a challenging season of life, this ought to challenge your thinking. Just because the obstacles staring you down feel insurmountable, does not mean they pose any challenge to God. Just because those mountains haven't moved, doesn't mean God can't move them. Just because nothing has changed doesn't mean God is unable. The God who raises the dead can't be stopped when it comes to His purposes. Entrust your circumstances to God. Entrust yourself to God.
For those of you who have seen God move mountains, consider this--you have only seen the outskirts of the Lord's ways. Whether it is financial provision, physical healing, the restoration of a relationship, the salvation of a loved one, or even a great move of God, what you have witnessed is just a sample. God can do more.
Whether times are good or bad, it's a great time to believe God. He is able!
