Welcome!

Hi! My name is Chris Johnson. I am a pastor in Van Buren, Arkansas. (Check out our church at www.firstvb.com). I’m married to Lauren and we have four children. We also have a dog, two cats, and various other small creatures that my kids would like to add to the family circle.

I am passionate about helping people meet Jesus and grow in their relationship with Christ. I surrendered my life to Christ as a freshman in college and my life has never been the same!

That’s why I created this blog. I want to help people meet Jesus and if you know Jesus, I want to encourage you, challenge you in your faith and help you grow.

Growing up, I did not have much interest in the Bible. My family went to church regularly but I was skeptical. In high school, God really began working in my life. The Bible began to come to life for me and I became very interested in spiritual matters. I had never had much of a sense of purpose to my life until I realized God had given me an eternal purpose. I surrendered my life to Christ as a freshman in college at Liberty University and God called me to ministry. I’ve been pursuing that calling ever since.

This website is another way I’m hoping to help people.
